Newberry Habitat for Humanity Receives Washington Federal Grant

Newberry Habitat for Humanity has just received a $2500.00 grant from Washington Federal to help with the affiliate’s community work for low-income families in South Deschutes County.
Habitat regularly reaches out to help these families with smaller projects like weather proofing, ramp building, carpentry and repairs to their homes and any projects that will help families live in a safer home. In some cases the grant monies like these help in tandem with other donations to do bigger projects like re-roofing or replacing siding on a home in the area.
Newberry Habitat carefully pools its resources so they can help qualified recipients when they need it. A grant like this $2500.00 from Washington Federal goes a long way in building the funds that are needed to continue the work. These particular Washington Federal funds were actually used to complete construction of the Butler home that was dedicated on Sunday the 17th of November. The funds were requested for home construction. Habitat exists on grants, donations and the sales from donated items at the La Pine ReStore.
Newberry Habitat for Humanity thanks Washington Federal and President, Linda Brower in the Seattle headquarters for their generous contribution of funds that help local families better their circumstances.
